| About the Workshop |
The Roaming Regulation has been extended in time and scope and an ambitious mandate has been given to the Commission in consultation with BEREC to explore alternative regulatory options to the Regulation. Instead of setting retail price caps what other forms of regulation could result in competitive consumer prices? Should the Roaming Regulation be continued as a wholesale and transparency measure? Could a relevant market be defined by the Commission through which Regulators could intervene in the roaming market? This workshop aims at taking stock of the amendments of the Roaming Regulation and their expected impact with particular focus on the upcoming reviews of the Regulation in 2010 and 2011 and the future of regulating roaming services. |
