Welcome to the 8th Annual Mobile Regulations & Competition Law Conference
Jolly Hotel du Grand Sablon Hotel, Brussels
Wednesday 22nd & Thursday 23rd June 2005
www.jollyhotels.com

The directives of the New Regulatory Framework (NRF) came into force across EU Member States on 25 July 2003. Although implementation is still in progress in most countries the current focus of NRAs and mobile operators has definitely shifted to a different set of topics:

  • Possible future ex ante regulations in the WIR market
  • More rigid cost-orientation on mobile termination charges Possible remedies based on collective dominance in mobile access and origination
  • Uncertainness regarding the impact of spectrum liberalisation and spectrum trading

may ultimately threaten operators' revenues. No wonder these issues are high on the agenda of mobile operators and have stimulated a lot of debate across the entire industry. Our 8th Annual Mobile Regulation & Competition Law conference, held in Brussels on 22nd and 23rd June 2005, will cover all these areas of priority for mobile operators and NRAs. This year's event will offer even more room for debate. Based on special request from delegates of last years' conference we incorporated 5 highly interactive panel discussions in the conference agenda. Each of these sessions will be chaired by industry experts who have been carefully selected for their vast experience in the respective area. The programme also includes 4 speakers from the European Commission and 11 operators who will share with you all the insight you need from the authority in each of these issues, to be ahead of the game and prepare yourself for future changes in the industry.
